Canada Day

This Canada Day we filled our day with lots of the local festivities. We started the morning out with the parade.

Kiera & family were there...
As well as my parents & sister and her kids...
Melissa enjoyed waving to the floats as they passed by...

Following the parade we headed to the AgRec where they were set up with lots of things for kids to do.

After going home for Melissa's nap we returned with a little picnic while we listed to Kristal Barrett perform.

Melissa being cute with a little bit of chocolate on her cheek!
The talented Kristal...

Later in the evening we got Melissa out of bed to watch the fireworks from our master-bedroom window. She really enjoyed them... this was her first time seeing fireworks live!

My favorite Melissa thought of the day was in response to the explanation that we were celebrating Canada's birthday.
She asked, "Does she like to eat cake?"
