Canada Day

This Canada Day was much like last year, it was a very hot day, and we started the day off watching our local parade with family & friends.

Kiera & Melissa, ready to get the show on the road... literally!

Nani & Melissa...

Trying to get loot off of the clown, but he was on the move...

After the parade, we joined the masses at Rotary Stadium, where there were lots of booths and games for children. Here Melissa got her face painted, which didn't last long due to the heat and her sunblock foundation :)

Playing with large bubble fly-swatters with a preschool friend Matthew...

After a nap, we joined the McMillan family and took in some evening concerts. Melissa & Kiera really got into the groove with their own dance moves!

The highlight of the day for us was the fireworks. This was Melissa's first time at the fireworks, and she was really impressed!

Her favorite fireworks were the swirly ones pictured in this video...
