Today Melissa got to learn all about fish. In the morning we found a fish bowl at a neighbour's garage sale for 50¢... a deal hard to pass up! (This past week she had been just tickled by the fish in the local pet store. So the idea of getting her own was in the back of my mind.) To make the exerience all that much more entertaining, we took a trip to Nani & Papa's farm to catch our own wild goldfish from their backyard pond! We'll see how long they last :P

24 hours and they are still alive... and seem much happier!
How can you tell that they are much happier? Do they have big smiles on their little fishy faces?
they are swimming, rather than laying low in the bottom corner. they go up to the surface and eat and gulp air :) that is how they smile!
and they still are alive... its been two days now!
uh-ohh... the little fry died today :'( perhaps the heat has been too much.
