Melissa Starts Grade 4

A week ago today (Sept 22), school was back in session after a long summer holiday thanks to the teachers' strike. Melissa was very eager to get back to school... perhaps due to my homeschooling efforts, or maybe because she just missed her friends :) Nevertheless, getting back into a routine has been nice. Here are her back-to-school photos... she sure is growing up fast!

Extra Large Creepy Crawler

The other day Melissa was getting the mail, and on her way back she spotted this super-sized caterpillar munching away at the weeds in a crack, on the side of the street. She called me over, and I thought it was a snake (as half of it was covered up). And any of you who know me, know I don't enjoy being shown a snake! I don't know if the pictures do this guy justice, but he is abnormally big for around here. He even has an orange horn on one end! Blech! 

Brody Starts Preschool!

This Tuesday (Sept 9th) Brody started preschool! Our baby is growing up so fast! These are his first day photos... he gave me only a few seconds to take his photo (he had better things to do) but they still turned out very cute. So far he is loving it (gradual entry - only 1 hr each day) and the teachers say he is doing great and listening well! Now if only I could get used to the idea, then we'd be all good!
